UNTiiTLED”, the third solo exhibition of Aboud Fares, a sculptor. In this exhibition, he explores fragmented body parts through a collection of iron sculptures in various sizes.
Aboud Fares is a sculptor with a B.A. in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University, obtained in 2010. After graduating, he joined the Syrian Plastic Artists’ Union and started his own workshop beside teaching as a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Now, as he resides in Penang, he’s a full-time sculptor, working in his private workshop, using mostly iron to create abstract forms and creatures.
In his urge to connect more viewers with abstract art, Aboud has found that making functional sculptures is the way, turning his absolute abstract forms to be used as furniture pieces.
Lately, he has been focusing more on the human forms in abstracted way, which then began the ideology of his current exhibition, UNTiiTLED.
Aboud has had two solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions, after residing in Penang for a few years.
