Drawing was a big part of her life when she was small. Eventually it led her to art school. She ventured into creative field in ad agency for some years, before turning herself to work as a freelancer. This allows her to have more time in exploring the world of art creation.
In her artistic journey, she discovered a passion for painting figures and portraits, which she personally finds therapeutic and it has become a driving force in her ongoing creative development.Life is beautiful yet fragile, and it is this very essence that compels her to capture the moments of existence and celebrate the beauty of individuality.
Her artist statement:
A curve.
A smudge.
A decisive line.
Rather than what is seen, I am drawn to the unseen.
UNSEEN: Dream Series is my first public reveal.
I have been deeply immersed in life drawing, using the figure as a medium to express what I cannot tell or put into words.
Keeping them raw, as I see them, as I feel us.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, I frequently attend outdoor sketching and live portrait sessions. But life drawing holds a special place in my heart.
The exhibition can be visited 9am-6pm daily, closed Thursdays.
