Howard Tan was born in Penang in 1974.

He works and lives in Penang, enjoys spending his time wondering and
photographing different part of Malaysia, in particularly Penang.
He draws inspiration from the old buildings, the people, the streets,
to the wandering cats, the tradespeople and other aspects of the world
around him.

His latest works now involve turning old prints and images into collages,
and is a new narrative of his art and his subconscious impulses.
These have been very well received and for the moment is his
current and favourite mode of expression.
