Ralph Kiggell Open Studio

Thailand-based Ralph Kiggell’s open studio will show him at work, and also he will exhibit prints relating to his work in Thailand and to the tropics, about woodblock printing, and about how it can connect to the environment. He will be at Hin Bus Depot from April 3rd-5th 1pm to 6pm.
He will also run a workshop about water-based Japanese woodblock printing, details to be confirmed later.
Ralph Kiggell studied woodblock printing, both traditional and contemporary methods, in Japan in the 1990s, finishing with an MFA from Tama Arts University in Tokyo. He has taught at Bangkok, Chulalongkorn, and Chiang Mai universities, and also given workshops in many schools and art centres around the world. Most recently he was visiting artist at Australia National University in Canberra in the printmaking department there. He has exhibited extensively around the world, most recently in the USA.
