Artist Nasir Nadzir exhibited for the first time at Open Studios Penang 2019 as part of a group exhibition and has subsequently exhibited in the 8”x6” project. Inspired by the botanical works of Esther Geh, owner of The Art E Space, he has recently been working on small paintings of flowers from his mother’s garden. It is a new subject for him, and one that is very close to him. He has been experimenting in capturing the distinct peaks of flowers, and the way the weather affects them.

He will be exhibiting these paintings, and working on new pieces in a temporary open studio at The Art E Space. His main studio is in mainland Penang.

Nasir will be at his studio from 1pm to 6pm on March 29th, and April 3rd-5th.
