Luq Zaidismail a self taught art-maker with skills build up years of trials and hand-on experiences, was born 51 years ago in the State of Kedah, the Rice Bowl of Malaysia. Though his artistic talent was discovered in his primary school years, Luq Zaidismail started to engage seriously in the art field in 1992.

 Luq Zaidismail actively tutors art newbies ranging from 6 years old to 60 years old. From the painting tutorials, emerge several new talents who have joined art exhibitions and competitions, nationally and internationally.

 As a realist artist, Luq Zaidismail loves depicting traditional culture and heritage. Luq Zaidismail reiterated that life is a blend of life and culture, and it is his cause to immortalise the folk culture scenes in all the visual artworks he produces
