Kathy loves painting flowers.  They are not real flowers like those depicted by great artists, eg Georgia O’Keefe or Vincent Van Gogh.  Her paintings are the feeling of flowers, the colourfulness and joyfulness they bring into our lives.  She is often inspired by a lovely dress someone is wearing or a colourful shirt.

Val was delighted to be able to call herself an ‘artist’ (instead of someone who paints for a hobby) after she sold a number of her wildlife oil paintings at OSP 2023. She is passionate about painting these wonderful creatures, particularly their eyes, and hopes her artwork may help bring awareness to their threatened extinction.

Kathy and Val will have a temporary Open Studio/Exhibition at Gusto’s Cafe from 10 am to 3pm on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th March. Both will be working on new paintings and can demonstrate and answer questions.
