Esther is a Penang born artist with a passion for botanical illustration. Her style developed from the attention to detail required in her previous career as an anaesthetist, coupled with her love for nature. Artists’s Statement: This is a series of paintings from when I started exploring the variety of interpretations of botanicals, from the more traditional scientific illustrative style, to a more contemporary painterly style, but always staying true to the colours and forms of the plant.
