RM45
Sharon Siew Suan Kow is a Colour Pencil Artist, living and working in Penang. She began seriously pursuing coloured pencil art in 2013 at the age of 43. Her style gravitates towards contemporary realism. Sharon is a Signature Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA), Master Status Member of the Coloured Pencil Community of Australasia Inc (CPCAU) and a Registered Member of the International Guild of Realism (IGOR). Sharon has been published internationally, and has exhibited both locally and internationally. The workshop will cover
1. Blending
When painting in wet media, artists mix two or more colours together to form a new color.
Colour pencils are a dry medium, so colours have to be created by layering.
2. Burnishing
This is another form of dry blending in which you use heavy pressure to “grind” layers of colour together, either with a colour pencil or a colourless blender.
