Cloud b by Low Chee Peng
Sculptor and artist Low Chee Peng is known for his metal urban sculptures and street art around Penang and elsewhere. You can visit him at his studio, meet him and view his latest work, Friday to Sunday 10am to 6pm. Official opening, Saturday march 15th 11am.
Cloud b artist statement: Dreams drift like clouds-floating, elusive-arriving in silence as a child sleeps. Sculptor Low Chee Peng captures the purity of childhood with pristine white marble, sculpting serene figures of sleeping children. In contrast, he constructs floating clouds with rigid stainless steel-light yet firm, fleeting yet eternal.
Together, these elements weave a world brimming with wonder and dreamlike whimsy.
