The work consists of surrealism and some realism. The artist has evolved over the years from ‘painting as you see it’ to ‘painting what it could be’. Colour is definitely an important aspect of the work as most of the compositions are made up of a variety of colours, mixed and matched, thereby creating a fantasy like places and scenes. Having said that, the works still retain some realism in order to give them a sense that it could possibly exist some where in another place. The purpose behind these paintings is to enable the seer to transport him or herself to another place of great awe and beauty and almost unreal. There will also be on display some sketches of the old Malaysian scenes, as well as a few watercolour pieces.
